MEET DR. TRISTAN MAXWELL, DC MSc
Tristan is a dedicated chiropractor with a passion for sports medicine and optimizing performance through holistic healthcare. With a solid background in both chiropractic care and sports medicine, Dr. Maxwell brings a unique perspective to patient care, blending traditional chiropractic techniques with modern sports rehabilitation practices.
Growing up, Tristan had a deep love for sports, participating in football, baseball, and track and field. This firsthand experience sparked an interest in understanding the mechanics of the human body, performance enhancement, and its healing potential. Throughout high school and college, Dr. Maxwell excelled not only in sports but also in academics, laying the groundwork for a career merging these two passions.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Clinical Physiology, Tristan pursued a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the University of Western States. During this time, his interest in sports-related injuries and rehabilitation techniques grew and, after completing his Doctorate in Chiropractic, pursued his Master’s degree in Sports Medicine, specializing in biomechanics and injury prevention strategies.
In addition to his clinical practice, Tristan remains actively involved in the sports community, participating in CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting, and volunteering his time to provide treatment for various coaches and athletes. Understanding the importance of staying current with advancements in both chiropractic and sports medicine fields, Tristan routinely attends conferences and continuing education programs to ensure the most cutting-edge treatments and techniques are made available to his patients. Driven by a genuine desire to help others reach their full potential, Dr. Maxwell is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those he serves, one adjustment at a time.
Dr. Dana, like most chiropractors, was introduced to chiropractic first-hand. When he was a 14 year old football player he was speared in the back during an afternoon practice. The pain was immediate but tolerable. However, like many injuries, the real issues manifested when Dr. Dana started losing the ability to perform routine activities. Walking, running, sleeping, and even sneezing became a chore for an otherwise active 14 year old. The pain of running across the football field was too debilitating to continue playing and it soon became clear that this wasn’t something that would just go away.
After ineffectual various forms of treatments ranging from physical therapy to pain medicine, one of his teammate’s father recommended chiropractic care. After only a few treatments, Dr. Dana was up and running at the same level as before.
Dr. Dana initially left the Northwest to study biology and play baseball at the University of Hawaii and graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. In addition to the chiropractic degree he obtained, he became a certified Neuromuscular Release Masseuse and lead a two year term as President of the Sports Medicine Club. He is an extremely passionate advocate of CrossFit.
